I like the effect of removing part of a photograph, here I have used a craft die to remove some sections..
Close up..
Love the painterly background and the white enamel marker.
.. aesthetically described as one of beauty that is 'imperfect', 'impermanent' and 'incomplete'.

Paper Collage on Re purposed Packaging.
The background came first, I had made some mark making tools and tried them out with my walnut ink.
I have had the biscuit for ages that was cut from the packaging!!
I chose not to completely cut around the chap, like that look.

Shades of White Collage
This fortnight PaperArtsy have a fab challenge called shades of White, follow the link!
Darcy has provided a wealth of inspiration, I have come up with this...
On an old book page, my first layer of white was provided by using Pebeo Modelling Paste. This is a soft 'wet' medium, I let this dry for a while before pushing some stamps into it using ELB34 set from PaperArtsy.
The next layer was using PaperArtsy Grunge Paste, a lovely thick paste, again I pushed several of the same stamp set into the wet paste.
After some thought, I decided to use a piece of parchment, I stamped PaperArtsy Mini 19 with Distress Ink Picket Fence. This was my 'guide' as I used a ball tool to highlight some of the numbers.
I added a piece of white scrap card for a further layer of white and to help holding the parchment in place.
A white paper clip make for a great hanger!!

Paper Artsy Rusty Christmas
My turn over on the Paperartsy blog with some Christmas makes using Zinsky Art stamps and Rusting Powder.
Had great fun using the products, here are some close ups of the masterboard for the concertina card..
Really pleased how both projects turned out.
Great fun working with the rusting powder, thinking of ways to incorporate into my collages.

As soon as I saw the set of stamps, I loved the way Rudolf was drawn, and had an idea that Santa was riding him and they were flying through the sky...
Great fun working with the rusting powder, thinking of ways to incorporate into my collages.
