PaperArtsy Infusions and Distress Oxide Reinkers.

Earlier in the month I blogged some art using PaperArtsy Infusions and Distress Oxide Reinkers onto Kraft card.

I had some predyed fabric using some Paperartsy Infusions. The piece on the left was dyed last year, the top piece was dyed today and allowed to dry a little before dripping on the reinkers.

Like the subtle difference.

This piece I dyed and added some reinker straight away, again different effect.

This last piece was dyed with some Deco Art Media paint in Paynes Grey some time ago. I folded up the fabric and added some reinkers on the edges.

Great fun, thinking of some ideas to incorporate within some art!!!

Collage Mini Book Cover

Made up a mini book with 4 pages size a6 from kraft card. Hand stitched together.

Built up a painterly background and added part of a book page and a stamped image from Lynne Perrella via Paperartsy!!

Collage Mixed Media.

I had a small box that was part of the packaging from a purchase, I flattened it out and made several holes.

Stitched some dyed fibre..

Backed this onto a scrap of kraft card, red ink and some red embossing powder completed the background.

This fortnight the current theme is Kraft Card, over on the PaperArtsy blog.

I love to use Kraft card, love the earthy feel and texture. It also takes various products to great effect whether it be acrylic paints, dry mediums.

Started off by experimenting with some Infusions and Distress Oxide re inkers.

This led me on to play on a larger piece of Kraft card. Love the interaction of the Infusions and Oxide re inkers.

I used the leaf stamp from Lin Brown ELB34 set of stamps by PaperArtsy.

I used some silver foil packaging from some biscuits!!

My substrate is an old cardboard envelope, love the irregularity of the shape, and left the air mail sticker!!

Collage Wabi Sabi Wall Book

Been experimenting making little books recently. Had an idea of a wall book!!

Tricky to photograph..

Love the idea of interactive art, nice to walk past and turn the pages!!

Cut and Paste Collage.

Trying out a different type of collage, cut pieces from magazines. This was for a challenge on one of my Facebook groups.

Here is my starting point.

Enjoyed this new experience, with a bit of humour as well!!!

Card and Fabric Collage.

Experimenting with layers of Kraft Card and textiles..

Black parchment with a Dahlia from the Groovi system plates via Clarity Stamp.

A little bit of naked flame to create texture, and some stitching.

Love how the stitches look through both the parchment and card.

Boro Repair Stitch on Rusty Card!

Using some DecoArt Media Line acrylics, created a rusty effect onto some craft card. Love the effect of Boro Repair stitch, so removed some sections.

Used a blue coloured thread, next time will try a different blue.
