This month the new challenge over at Country View Challenges is hearts.
Here is my take on this.
Initially I found this topic challenging as I don't use 'hearts' in my art. Then I remembered I read somewhere if you are stuck with a creation think of some music and base a creation around that. So I recall in the early 80's a single that I bought that was called Two Hearts Beat As One by U2.
So I started off with brayering Paperartsy Fresco Chalk Paints in Slate and Zesty Zing. I love this colour combo!!. This plastic pipe with ridges makes a great mark making tool, dipped in some left over Zesty Zing.
I wanted some roundage so I used a stamp from PaperArtsy ELB34 by Lin Brown. Again with Zesty Zing.
The font came from my computer. Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink brayered onto the card.
I found some of the lyrics, using a white pencil and a white Sharpie added the hand written words.
Brings back lots of memories from the eighties!!!
Great idea to go to songs Bryan. Such a resourceful background too. Finished piece is perfect for the topic. Handwriting looks cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great background for your heart theme text, I mean for the U2 lyrics :-) The pattern of the plastic pipe is very cool! Thank you for joining the June challenge of the Country View Challenges blog!
