Paperartsy Infusions Cactus.

A little watercolour today using Paperartsy Infusions pigment powders. On the Paperartsy blog the current challenge is Watercolours. I used a large watercolour brush and made up a mix on a glass mat and just went for it!!

I used Lemoncello, Blackcurrant and Violet Storms.

After dry I scratched in some detail with a craft knife. Dodgy pot though!!

Printed off a manipulated photo of an angel and added some coloured book pages to form a crucifix style of collage.

Thought I would try some black card as a base for a collage. Tried out some new Distress Oxides, here I used Tattered Rose and Fossilized Amber. Also along with some stamping.

I like the subtle effect of this product on black, off to try different colours.

Having a play with different mediums of blue paints and Distress Oxides. Added some torn elements from an old book and a photograph.

Love using darker backgrounds for my collages.

Mixed Media Paper Collage with Tea Bag.

Again working on a small square, matted onto backing card. Added some chalk paints to a tea bag, very gently so not to rip. 

Like the background, think I like the darker colours though, Practice practice!!!

I challenged myself with this collage, 20 cm square piece of white card. A new Studio Light stamp came first, along with some ephemera.

Paper Collage with Kantha Stitching.

This week I watched a show on Hochanda about Kantha Stitching. I was so taken I decided to have a go with a simple shape. I incorporated this within a collage...

The stitching came together very quickly, found it very relaxing...

Some hand stamping and dip pen with home made walnut ink..
