Rings of Life.

The current challenge over on the PaperArtsy blog this time is Vintage Neutrals.

I started off by using PaperArtsy Infusions Lemoncello and a small touch of Violet Storms onto some calico.

Some stamping with PaperArtsy Hot Picks 1501.

Originally I was going to use the piece of wood as a paperweight, but decided to wrap the calico around the wood.

I thought maybe I should have stuck to my original idea as most of the Infusions and stamping were hidden within the layers, so when I saw the question mark from the same stamp set, I stamped several times.

Added some flicks of the same Infusions with a paintbrush to add some interest to the grey board.

I am glad I pushed myself to try something different from my original idea, it reminds me of the rings that are formed within wood as they grow!!

  1. This is genius Bryan. Love how this evolved. Reminds me of childhood and peeling back layers from stuff that I found in hedgerows. 😊

  3. I love the introduction of fabric and natural elements in projects. The wrapped calico reminds me of petals around the flower centre. Original and thought provoking!
