Wonderful challenge over at Mixed Media World, Under the Sea.
This is what I have come up with..
On a reclaimed piece of wood, I squirted out some Pebeo Dyna paint in Blu Black and Blue Green. With a painting knife, I moved it over he wood and mixed up the colours. The propeller is from a magazine, so I fussy cut this out and placed over the wet paint.
The next day when all was dry, I drew the fish with a white Sharpie pen in a Zentangle style. I added some Dyna Iridescent paint in Red Blue to add some details to my fish. The eye is a die cut.
Another view to try and capture the iridescence!!!
.. aesthetically described as one of beauty that is 'imperfect', 'impermanent' and 'incomplete'.

PaperArtsy Infusions and Pebeo Paints...
This is the result of experimenting with Infusions and some gloss paints.
I used some pastel colours from a set of Pebeo Brilliant Gloss paints. I poured them onto the canvas and spritzed on some water, and moved the paint around with a painting knife.
Using Infusions in A Bit Jaded and Blackcurrant, I sprinkled onto the wet canvas and spritzed on some water.
I left it overnight to dry, I love the way the walnut crystals have left a spidery effect on the canvas.
Another view, showing the Blackcurrant Infusions..
I don't normally use pastel colours, but for this technique I think it shows off the Infusions..

Circles......
Over on the Country View Crafts Challenge this month, Hazel has chosen the theme of Circles.
Here is my take on this..
I have recently been inspired to try some tea bag art, so this is my first attempt. The backing is some packaging from a embossing folder. I painted using Cosmic Shimmer chalk paints and oversprayed with Dylusions Ink Spray White Linen.
I dried some tea bags, emptied the leaves. On this one I used 2 ink spray tops to make some marks with white gesso. I dropped on some voilet watercolour to see what would happen!!
On this tea bag, I stamped using an Indigo Blue stamp.
I used 2 of my texture stamps from Sheena on this one. all of the bags were glued into position.
Great fun, will use tea bags again, more experimenting!!!!

Ink and The Dog and Infusions
Very exciting to be selected to take part in the 3UP week at Paperartsy. We were using Ink and The Dog stamps and Infusions.
Here is my project using some reclaimed wood and meal findings..
After experimenting with the Infusions, I decided on a colour scheme of Lemoncello and Royal Blood.
I created the background on tissue paper. On a glass mat I sprayed water over the tissue paper and sprinkled over Royal Blood.
I stamped using Clocks Plate 2, again on top of tissue paper. The 3 blocks were painted with Matt Gel Medium, sprinkled over some Lemoncello and spread with a painting knife. The stamped tissue paper was placed on top.
On each side of the blocks I used one of the stamps from Backgrounds Plate 2 using the same technique.
I completed by adding the metal hanger and part of an old hinge on the bottom.
Another couple of views, I love the way the tissue paper crinkled. Also I was pleased with the walnut crystals as they played a part in the overall effect as I have used wood for the project.
Don't forget to check out Siobhan and Rebecca, my fellow teamies!!!

Crackle...
Country View Crafts have a great challenge this month, Crackle.
I have created this on a canvas and painted with Pebeo craft paints.
I used 2 crackle mediums, Deco Art Media crackle glaze and crackle paste.
On the lower red section, I have used the crackle glaze and highlighted with some white gesso. Pleased with the effect!!
On the trees, I have used the paste applied with a palette knife to add texture.
After this was dry, I used my finger to apply a mixture of Distress Inks in Twisted Citroen and Peacock Feathers. I also applied a mixture of Cosmic Shimmer Gilding paste in Twilight Dusk and Ocean Teal.
Hope you like...

From scrap to Masterpiece..
Great challenge over at Mixed Media World this month being from scrap to masterpiece...
I started off with this...
I stamped the whale fin onto some cream card and used the rusty pieces to frame.
I added several elements including dark blue nail polish, beads, fresco chalk paint caribbean sea flicks, distress glitter.
This shows Gutermann rayon thread, cotton floss, gesso.
I added some beads to some wire for movement.
One last view, very pleased with the end result, I painted the wood with Fresco Chalk paint in slate grey.

Midsummer Celebration...
It is Midsummer Day here in Bulgaria, and as a celebration I have created this..
It was my birthday yesterday, and I received some Lino cutting boards and a cutting tool, so I made this..
So, I found a piece of wood, painted with some Gesso. I stamped my sun with Versafine onto some tissue paper, whilst the Gesso was still wet I placed the tissue down.
I wrote Litha with a zig archival pen onto some tissue paper and placed it into the wet gesso. With a date stamp I followed the same treatment.
Very proud of my stamp!!!
